Reinstalled my Raspberry pi4 system, using the latest Raspberry Pi OS Lite 32 bit (2020-08-20).
When I try to set passwords in SPC Web Gateway i get an error:
myuser@raspberrypi:~ $ sudo /opt/spc-web-gateway/spc-web-gateway –A
User root is not allowed to run this application!
myuser UID=1001 is member of sudo group (but not root).
Starting and stopping the SPC Gateway seem to work, and I can reach the Testpanel.
Struggle to find a way around this, and can not remember seeing this before.
Have I done something strange?
Or can it be something with the new OS?
Best regards
Christer
Can not set password on Raspberry Pi OS Lite
Re: Can not set password on Raspberry Pi OS Lite
Aaaah, seems like something happened with the last "-" sign in front of the "A" when copy-pasting from the pdf.
deleted the "-" and rewrote it manually, and voala, it works!! =))
sudo /opt/spc-web-gateway/spc-web-gateway –A
Case closed.

Re: Can not set password on Raspberry Pi OS Lite
Great you found the issue yourself. It's a known problem if you cut and paste directly from the old pdf manual. Should be fixed in the newest version of the manual found in www.lundix.se/smarta-losningar
